La tragedia natural oblig\u00f3 a revisar los c\u00f3digos s\u00edsmicos existentes y dos a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde, se publicaron las nuevas normas t\u00e9cnicas para el dise\u00f1o de edificios antis\u00edsmicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico (CDMX), construida sobre un antiguo lago, un estudio preciso del comportamiento del suelo ayud\u00f3 a incrementar los factores de protecci\u00f3n s\u00edsmica. Jes\u00fas Valdez, ingeniero constructor y CEO de Miyamoto International en M\u00e9xico, explica que el suelo de la capital es muy blando, lo cual amplifica las ondas s\u00edsmicas y representa un reto adicional a la hora de dise\u00f1ar edificaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ARQ-ICI\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4132\" width=\"838\" height=\"472\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nuevos dispositivos s\u00edsmicos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2017, muchos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, pero justamente otro 19 de septiembre, un terremoto de 7,1 grados en la escala de Richter caus\u00f3 graves da\u00f1os en la capital, cobr\u00e1ndose casi 400 v\u00edctimas mortales. Jes\u00fas Valdez cuenta a DW que precisamente ese d\u00eda, por la tarde, se iba a presentar una actualizaci\u00f3n del c\u00f3digo s\u00edsmico, que inclu\u00eda novedosos dispositivos como amortiguadores, aisladores de base o contraventeos restringidos al pandeo. Hoy d\u00eda, las normas mexicanas contemplan estos dispositivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ARQ-ICI\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4133\" width=\"841\" height=\"473\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Referencias arquitect\u00f3nicas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Inaugurada en 1956, la Torre Latinoamericana fue una referencia a nivel mundial en materia de arquitectura antis\u00edsmica. Gracias a su estructura de acero, el edificio posee una ductilidad natural que le permite resistir deformaciones, sin da\u00f1arse. Asimismo, su sistema de cimentaci\u00f3n ha servido de ejemplo para muchos edificios construidos en suelo similar en la CDMX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;La Torre Mayor (2003) fue la primera en Latinoam\u00e9rica que incorpor\u00f3 amortiguadores de tipo viscoso en un edificio con estructura met\u00e1lica. Es de las m\u00e1s seguras a nivel internacional, porque el amortiguador sirve como disipador de la energ\u00eda. Convierte la energ\u00eda s\u00edsmica en calor, as\u00ed como los amortiguadores de un veh\u00edculo&#8221;, se\u00f1ala Valdez, quien sostiene que durante un terremoto es m\u00e1s seguro estar dentro que afuera del edificio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2015 se inaugur\u00f3 la Torre Bancomer, otro ejemplo novedoso de arquitectura antis\u00edsmica. El entrevistado detalla que esta construcci\u00f3n met\u00e1lica tiene unas estructuras diagonales a cada cuatro niveles, que sirven de soporte lateral. En caso de un gran terremoto, las diagonales absorber\u00edan la energ\u00eda y ser\u00edan los primeros elementos en da\u00f1arse. M\u00e1s tarde, estos f\u00e1cilmente podr\u00edan ser sustituidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ARQ-ICI\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4134\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Edificios sobre ruedas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En pa\u00edses de alto riesgo s\u00edsmico, como Jap\u00f3n o Estados Unidos, tambi\u00e9n se usan los aisladores de base, que son de las tecnolog\u00edas m\u00e1s costosas. Seg\u00fan Valdez, un ejemplo reciente en la CDMX es el nuevo aeropuerto Felipe \u00c1ngeles, el edificio m\u00e1s grande de Latinoam\u00e9rica con la mayor cantidad de aisladores de base: 1.316 en total. &#8220;Es como subir el edificio a una patineta o a unas ruedas. Entonces el suelo empieza a moverse lateralmente, pero el edificio permanece en su posici\u00f3n y se a\u00edsla de las fuerzas s\u00edsmicas&#8221;, explica.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En M\u00e9xico, los nuevos c\u00f3digos s\u00edsmicos permiten que se construyan edificios cada vez m\u00e1s altos que superan los 15 \u00f3 20 niveles, as\u00ed como rascacielos arriba de los 60 niveles.
