Esta tecnolog\u00eda representa un tipo de protocolo de red de \u00e1rea local inal\u00e1mbrica (<strong>WLAN<\/strong>) basado en los est\u00e1ndares&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IEEE_802.11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IEEE 802.11<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 42%\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"386\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/DTIP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-21.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1149 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Las redes&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wireless_LAN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WLAN<\/a>&nbsp;permiten que las computadoras se conecten a trav\u00e9s de&nbsp;<strong>conexiones de radio<\/strong>&nbsp;inal\u00e1mbricas compartiendo datos y accediendo a redes externas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">De forma muy resumida, Wifi es el&nbsp;<strong>acceso a Internet desde un dispositivo con capacidad inal\u00e1mbrica<\/strong>&nbsp;como un tel\u00e9fono, tableta o computadora port\u00e1til.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo funciona la tecnolog\u00eda conexi\u00f3n inal\u00e1mbrica?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Es como&nbsp;<strong>escuchar la radio<\/strong>, pero de forma&nbsp;<strong>bidireccional<\/strong>. En lugar de simplemente recibir sonido como lo hacemos con las longitudes de onda AM (<strong>Amplitude Modulation<\/strong>) o FM (<strong>Frequency Modulation<\/strong>).<br><br>Wifi funciona en&nbsp;<strong>frecuencias de radio de 2,4GHz y 5GHz<\/strong>&nbsp;(si ves una red inal\u00e1mbrica con el n\u00famero 5 al final). Estos servicios incluyen la&nbsp;<strong>televisi\u00f3n, acceso a internet de alta velocidad, Bluetooth y VoIP<\/strong>, entre otros.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ventajas<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Accesibilidad<\/strong>: la tecnolog\u00eda inal\u00e1mbrica no requiere de cables, por lo que los usuarios pueden comunicarse aun cuando est\u00e1n en movimiento.<\/li><li><strong>Flexibilidad<\/strong>: permite a los usuarios realizar su trabajo de forma productiva incluso cuando se encuentran fuera de sus oficinas.<\/li><li><strong>Rentabilidad<\/strong>: las redes inal\u00e1mbricas son soluciones rentables porque son f\u00e1ciles de instalar y econ\u00f3micas.<\/li><li><strong>Mayores oportunidades<\/strong>: con su uso, las compa\u00f1\u00edas pueden introducir nuevos productos y\/o servicios en el mercado. Muchas estaciones de trenes, caf\u00e9s, salas de espera de aeropuertos y hoteles han instalado servicios Wifi para que puedas conectar tus dispositivos mientras viajas.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/DTIP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-19.png\" alt=\"Wifi \" class=\"wp-image-1145\" width=\"180\" height=\"180\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Desventaja<\/strong>s<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Seguridad<\/strong>: las redes Wifi son m\u00e1s propensas a recibir ataques de usuarios no autorizados.
