Wars<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reuters.<\/strong>&nbsp;Investigadores de Singapur desarrollaron una \u201cpiel electr\u00f3nica\u201d capaz de recrear un sentido del tacto, una innovaci\u00f3n que esperan le permita a las<strong>&nbsp;personas con extremidades prot\u00e9sicas detectar objetos, as\u00ed como sentir la textura o incluso la temperatura y el dolor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El dispositivo, denominado ACES o Asynchronous Coded Electronic Skin, est\u00e1<strong>&nbsp;formado por 100 peque\u00f1os sensores y tiene un tama\u00f1o de aproximadamente 1 cent\u00edmetro cuadrado<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los investigadores de la Universidad Nacional de Singapur dicen que puede procesar informaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que el sistema nervioso humano, reconocer 20 a 30 texturas diferentes y puede leer letras en braille con una precisi\u00f3n mayor al 90%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPor lo tanto, los humanos necesitan deslizarse para sentir la textura, pero en este caso la piel, con un solo toque, puede detectar texturas de diferente rugosidad\u201d, dijo el l\u00edder del equipo de investigaci\u00f3n Benjamin Tee, quien agreg\u00f3 que algoritmos de IA permiten que el dispositivo aprenda r\u00e1pidamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una demostraci\u00f3n mostr\u00f3 que el dispositivo puede detectar que una pelota blanda para la tensi\u00f3n era suave y determinar que una pelota de pl\u00e1stico era dura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCuando pierdes el sentido del tacto, esencialmente te vuelves insensible (\u2026) y los usuarios de pr\u00f3tesis enfrentan ese problema\u201d, dijo Tee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEntonces&nbsp;<strong>al recrear una versi\u00f3n artificial de la piel, para sus dispositivos prot\u00e9sicos, pueden sostener una mano y sentir el el personaje Luke Skywalker pierde su mano<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>derecha&nbsp;<\/strong>y es reemplazada por una rob\u00f3tica, aparentemente capaz de experimentar nuevamente sensaciones t\u00e1ctiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La tecnolog\u00eda a\u00fan se encuentra en etapa experimental, pero hay un \u201cenorme inter\u00e9s\u201d, especialmente de la comunidad m\u00e9dica, dijo el investigador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patentes similares desarrolladas por su equipo incluyen una piel transparente que puede repararse a s\u00ed misma cuando se desgarra y un material emisor de luz para
