A diferencia de otras modalidades, como son el gris y el azul, la producci\u00f3n de este tipo de hidr\u00f3geno tiene una huella de carbono cero. Uno de los ejemplos de este combustible ecol\u00f3gico es la iniciativa Power to Green Hydrogen Mallorca. Una planta de hidr\u00f3geno verde que comenzar\u00e1 a operar a finales de 2021.<br>El proyecto utilizar\u00e1 terrenos de la cementera CEMEX junto con la aportaci\u00f3n de dos plantas de energ\u00eda fotovoltaica construidas por ACCIONA. Un sistema de electr\u00f3lisis proporcionado por Cummins (antes Hydrogenics). En asociaci\u00f3n con Enag\u00e1s, IDAE y la propia CEMEX y con la colaboraci\u00f3n de REDEXIS, entre otros. La iniciativa se enmarca en el plan estrat\u00e9gico de la FCH-JU (The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking) de la Uni\u00f3n Europea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong>Power to Green Hydrogen Mallorca<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Utilizar\u00e1 energ\u00eda solar fotovoltaica para llevar a cabo a un proceso de electr\u00f3lisis a partir de agua que genera ox\u00edgeno e hidr\u00f3geno. Posteriormente, el hidr\u00f3geno resultante se comprimir\u00e1 y almacenar\u00e1. Entre los principales beneficiarios estar\u00e1 el sector industrial, as\u00ed como la movilidad urbana y la industria tur\u00edstica. El hidr\u00f3geno verde constituir\u00e1 un complemento formidable para sectores de elevado consumo energ\u00e9tico como el hotelero, el industrial o el transporte urbano. Tambi\u00e9n permitir\u00e1 reducir la huella de carbono en la producci\u00f3n de fertilizantes y almacenar energ\u00eda procedente de paneles fotovoltaicos o aerogeneradores para respaldar la intermitencia de la producci\u00f3n renovable. Adem\u00e1s, como parte del proyecto, se instalar\u00e1 una \u201chidrogenera\u201d en la que repostar\u00e1n los autobuses de la isla balear y tambi\u00e9n coches o peque\u00f1as furgonetas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"414\" height=\"276\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Hid1.jpg\" alt=\"Hidr\u00f3geno\" class=\"wp-image-44684\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">En total, se calcula que la reducci\u00f3n en emisiones de CO2 ascender\u00e1 a las 20 700 toneladas al a\u00f1o. \u201cEl proyecto Power to Green Hydrogen Mallorca va a permitir incentivar multitud de casos de uso de hidr\u00f3geno verde para la descarbonizaci\u00f3n de las Islas Baleares\u201d. Explica Rafael Mateo, CEO de Energ\u00eda de ACCIONA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">\u00bfEn qu\u00e9 se diferencian el hidr\u00f3geno gris, azul y verde?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Aunque el hidr\u00f3geno es un gas incoloro, la forma de producirlo se ajusta a un c\u00f3digo de colores. Los m\u00e1s importantes son el gris, el azul y el verde. El&nbsp;<strong>hidr\u00f3geno gris<\/strong>&nbsp;se basa en la transformaci\u00f3n de gas natural y, aunque su uso como combustible no genera emisiones de efecto invernadero, la producci\u00f3n s\u00ed que tiene emisiones de CO2. El&nbsp;<strong>hidr\u00f3geno azul<\/strong>, en cambio, opta por capturar y almacenar CO2, lo que reduce, pero no elimina las emisiones.<br>Por \u00faltimo, estar\u00eda el&nbsp;<strong>hidr\u00f3geno verde<\/strong>, que utiliza energ\u00edas renovables en el proceso de electr\u00f3lisis y, por tanto, no genera emisiones en ninguna fase de su ciclo de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Por ahora, el principal reto es reducir el coste de producci\u00f3n del hidr\u00f3geno verde para convertirlo en una verdadera alternativa renovable. Se espera que, para el a\u00f1o 2030, este tipo de combustible sea competitivo en t\u00e9rminos de costes de producci\u00f3n y que en el a\u00f1o 2040 cueste lo mismo que producirlo a partir de combustibles f\u00f3siles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Blockchain para garantizar el origen de la energ\u00eda<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Como complemento de esta apuesta por las energ\u00edas renovables se utilizar\u00e1n tecnolog\u00edas blockchain. As\u00ed, el proyecto se complementar\u00e1 con el uso de Green<em>H<sub>2<\/sub><\/em>chain\u00ae, la primera plataforma blockchain del mundo que permite garantizar el origen del hidr\u00f3geno verde. Las empresas que utilicen este sistema digital podr\u00e1n monitorizar su descarbonizaci\u00f3n y contar con un sistema de certificaci\u00f3n de sus credenciales ecol\u00f3gicas.
