Dotado de ruedas especialmente adaptadas al terreno marciano, se espera que resista las duras condiciones de trabajo. Aunque claro, si una de las ruedas falla, no habr\u00e1 un taller mec\u00e1nico al que acudir. Si se pretende abaratar el coste y mejorar la durabilidad de estas misiones, es imprescindible empezar a explorar alternativas. Un primer paso en esa direcci\u00f3n podr\u00eda ser el&nbsp;<strong>prototipo de robot<\/strong>&nbsp;desarrollado por el laboratorio GRASP de la Universidad de Pensilvania en Filadelfia. Lo han bautizado como IceBot porque, fundamentalmente, est\u00e1 hecho de hielo. Y bajo tres premisas fundamentales: un dispositivo autorreconfigurable, autorreplicable y autorreparable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Cual es el desarrollo del Robot&#8230;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">El primer modelo se ha fabricado a mano, pero ya es operativo y puede desplazarse utilizando ruedas y un cuerpo central de hielo. Los investigadores est\u00e1n estudiando diversas t\u00e9cnicas de fabricaci\u00f3n aditiva y sustractiva, aunque por ahora la m\u00e1s eficiente ha demostrado ser el esculpido mec\u00e1nico por medio de taladros. Una de las propuestas del equipo es que, en un futuro, se env\u00eden dos tipos de robots en las misiones de exploraci\u00f3n interplanetaria. Por un lado, habr\u00eda un robot que se encargar\u00eda de buscar y recolectar los materiales de fabricaci\u00f3n y, por el otro, un robot en el que se instalasen o reparasen las piezas de hielo. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Por supuesto, los sistemas el\u00e9ctricos y conectores de este&nbsp;<strong>proyecto tecnol\u00f3gico<\/strong>&nbsp;seguir\u00edan fabric\u00e1ndose con aleaciones met\u00e1licas, pero el objetivo ser\u00eda reducirlas a lo imprescindible para minimizar problemas t\u00e9cnicos irreversibles. El dispositivo actual tiene un peso de 6,3 kilogramos y, por ahora, se pondr\u00e1 a prueba en los entornos ant\u00e1rticos. El objetivo es que en un futuro permita explorar planetas y asteroides donde haya hielo disponible en abundancia y temperaturas muy bajas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure
