Por ello, desarrollar tecnolog\u00edas que faciliten la monitorizaci\u00f3n de la salud marina es una prioridad ineludible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><em><strong>Medusas rob\u00f3ticas: una nueva tecnolog\u00eda aut\u00f3noma.<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Los investigadores del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Oce\u00e1nica y Mec\u00e1nica de la Universidad Atl\u00e1ntica de Florida (FAU, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) ten\u00edan como objetivo desarrollar un dispositivo tecnol\u00f3gico extremadamente vers\u00e1til y flexible que pudiera acceder a peque\u00f1as cavidades submarinas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">A la hora de buscar animales y organismos acu\u00e1ticos que sirvieran como inspiraci\u00f3n, pronto les vino a la cabeza el ejemplo de las medusas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Por un lado, poseen una vejiga natatoria que les permite utilizar el agua marina para controlar la profundidad a la que se desplazan y, por otro, cuentan con tejidos blandos de gran inter\u00e9s a la hora de desarrollar un prototipo flexible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Los cient\u00edficos de la FAU partieron de este modelo para desarrollar cinco dispositivos con diversos grados de rigidez con el objetivo de acceder a espacios vedados a otras tecnolog\u00edas.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-3.png\" alt=\"Medusas rob\u00f3ticas - Dispositivos tecnol\u00f3gicos extremadamente vers\u00e1tiles y flexibles \" class=\"wp-image-49592\" width=\"667\" height=\"442\"\/><figcaption><em><sup> Medusas rob\u00f3ticas &#8211; Dispositivos tecnol\u00f3gicos extremadamente vers\u00e1tiles y flexibles <\/sup><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>El punto de partida fue un dise\u00f1o fabricado mediante impresi\u00f3n 3D<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Cada modelo cuenta con ocho tent\u00e1culos inspirados en la medusa luna o sombrilla. Cada tent\u00e1culo tiene un canal que se extiende desde el centro del robot y utiliza un sistema de propulsi\u00f3n hidr\u00e1ulica, con cuatro de ellos conectados a cada lado de la m\u00e1quina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La medusa rob\u00f3tica puede moverse en una direcci\u00f3n solo con el impulso de cuatro de sus tent\u00e1culos. La disposici\u00f3n de los propulsores permite que el robot gire, ascienda, descienda o avance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n se imprimi\u00f3 en 3D la carcasa cil\u00edndrica central que incluye los microcontroladores y la bater\u00eda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gracias a las siliconas empleadas en su fabricaci\u00f3n, estos robots biomim\u00e9ticos pueden introducirse en cualquier rinc\u00f3n de un arrecife de coral y examinar el estado en el que se encuentra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">El siguiente objetivo consiste en a\u00f1adir una serie de sensores de entorno basados en tecnolog\u00eda s\u00f3nar que permitan al dispositivo determinar el espacio que posee a su alrededor.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.imnovation-hub.com\/media\/5095806\/coral-reef-inside.jpg\" alt=\"Arrecifes impresos en 3D para que las medusas rob\u00f3ticas realicen sus monitoreos.\n\"\/><figcaption><em><sup>Arrecifes de coral fabricados mediante impresi\u00f3n 3D<\/sup><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Arrecifes de coral fabricados mediante impresi\u00f3n 3D<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Si la preservaci\u00f3n de estos ecosistemas submarinos es un avance, no lo es menos la aplicaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas de impresi\u00f3n 3D para restaurarlos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La estrategia de la empresa Reef Design Labs, es instalar arrecifes cer\u00e1micos artificiales, en lugares como el Caribe o las Maldivas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Es as\u00ed que sumergen las estructuras con fragmentos de coral vivo, con la idea de que estos organismos los colonicen con el paso del tiempo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">En \u00faltima instancia, atraer\u00edan algas y peces para formar nuevos ecosistemas.
