La onda s\u00f3nica fue tan potente que incluso afect\u00f3 al oleaje en Inglaterra. Hoy existen numerosos avances tecnol\u00f3gicos y cient\u00edficos&nbsp;que aprovechan el potencial del sonido de una manera m\u00e1s benigna, con aplicaciones en medicina, limpieza o ecolocalizaci\u00f3n submarina. A ellos se suma ahora la&nbsp;impresi\u00f3n 3D con ondas s\u00f3nicas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">DSP: la tecnolog\u00eda de impresi\u00f3n 3D con ondas &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Tal como se\u00f1alan los desarrolladores del nuevo sistema de impresi\u00f3n 3D, cuyos resultados se han publicado en la revista Nature, los ultrasonidos se hab\u00edan empleado hasta ahora en aplicaciones destructivas como la eliminaci\u00f3n de tejidos tumorales. \u00bfSer\u00eda posible recurrir a ellos para finalidades creativas? La respuesta corta es que s\u00ed, tal como se advierte en las muestras de la imagen contigua. Como siempre, los detalles de la tecnolog\u00eda tienen algo m\u00e1s de miga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1510\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-46.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54845\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Hasta ahora exist\u00edan dos principales t\u00e9cnicas de impresi\u00f3n3D: la primera y m\u00e1s habitual es fundiendo pol\u00edmeros u otros materiales con calor y la otra menos com\u00fan es por radicaci\u00f3n lum\u00ednica, que solidifica resinas l\u00edquidas por medio de haces. La impresi\u00f3n 3D con ondas o&nbsp;impresi\u00f3n directa con sonido (DSP por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s)<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>podr\u00eda erigirse en una tercera opci\u00f3n. Y, adem\u00e1s, con una precisi\u00f3n in\u00e9dita que permita crear estructuras de gran complejidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">El enfoque que han utilizado los investigadores de la Concordia University&nbsp;de Canad\u00e1 pasa por utilizar ultrasonidos con una longitud de onda espec\u00edfica para generar zonas con reactividad qu\u00edmica en una soluci\u00f3n l\u00edquida de pol\u00edmeros. Las ondas s\u00f3nicas producen fuertes cambios de presi\u00f3n en burbujas de aire microsc\u00f3picas cuya temperatura aumenta hasta cerca de quince mil grados kelvin durante unos picosegundos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La materia prima empleada es un pol\u00edmero llamado PDMS que suele emplearse en la impresi\u00f3n aditiva. Sin embargo, gracias al campo ultras\u00f3nico, que es modulable en funci\u00f3n del grado de viscosidad del l\u00edquido y el tipo de longitud de onda, se puede llevar a cabo el proceso de impresi\u00f3n 3D punto por punto,&nbsp;como si fueran p\u00edxeles de una imagen.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-48.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54847\" width=\"480\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Un salto generacional en la impresi\u00f3n 3D <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La tecnolog\u00eda, con aplicaciones en la industria aeron\u00e1utica, en la fabricaci\u00f3n de sensores o incluso en la impresi\u00f3n de implantes dentro del cuerpo humano, se ha probado ya con pol\u00edmeros y materiales cer\u00e1micos. El siguiente paso consistir\u00e1 en trabajar con composites de pol\u00edmero metal para, en \u00faltima instancia, alcanzar la impresi\u00f3n 3D con ondas en metales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6
