Apple ha demostrado que los chips Apple Silicon no solo ofrecen un rendimiento excepcional, sino que tambi\u00e9n superan en eficiencia energ\u00e9tica a los procesadores x86 de Intel que sol\u00edan utilizar. Es por esta raz\u00f3n que dos gigantes de la industria, AMD y NVIDIA, han dirigido su atenci\u00f3n a la arquitectura ARM para impulsar el desarrollo de sus pr\u00f3ximos procesadores de computadora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nvidia y Advanced Micro Devices est\u00e1n considerando la posibilidad de aprovechar la tecnolog\u00eda de Arm Holdings en la creaci\u00f3n de sus futuros chips de ordenador, con la intenci\u00f3n de ponerlos a disposici\u00f3n del mercado a partir del 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AMD y NVIDIA la competenecia a la que se enfrentan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>No obstante, ambas empresas reconocen que, con Apple estableciendo su presencia en su propio mercado, el segmento de ordenadores con Windows permanece en gran medida sin explotar. Aunque Microsoft ha introducido algunos modelos con SoCs ARM desarrollados por Qualcomm, por el momento, no reciben la misma prioridad que las variantes x86.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Convertible-2en1-con-Windows-10-y-SoC-Qualcomm.jpg\" alt=\"Windows competencia de AMD\" class=\"wp-image-62530\" width=\"555\" height=\"325\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Esta oportunidad podr\u00eda permitirles convertirse en competidores m\u00e1s fuertes en la industria de las computadoras personales, la cual ha estado bajo el dominio de Intel durante mucho tiempo, a pesar de la creciente presi\u00f3n ejercida por Apple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intel parece no mostrar un inter\u00e9s inmediato en seguir esa direcci\u00f3n en el futuro cercano, y Qualcomm, en asociaci\u00f3n con Microsoft, est\u00e1 en las etapas iniciales de exploraci\u00f3n. Como resultado, parecen tener una oportunidad significativa para liderar el sector a partir del 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el caso de que AMD y NVIDIA introduzcan sus procesadores ARM, Microsoft contar\u00e1 con dos nuevos aliados con los que podr\u00e1 colaborar estrechamente. Intel, que sigue siendo el principal representante de la arquitectura x86, podr\u00eda quedarse en desventaja si no acelera su estrategia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seguramente ambas compa\u00f1ias son conscientes de que, cuando se habla de chips ARM para ordenadores, Apple ya les lleva varios a\u00f1os de ventaja. De hecho, los de Cupertino est\u00e1n por lanzar su tercera generaci\u00f3n, los M3. Es muy probable que los pr\u00f3ximos Mac que sean presentados \u2014en cuesti\u00f3n de d\u00edas\u2014 ya tengan estos procesadores.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/KQFFHW5VFRGMTM27SQEYK5F6UU.jpg\" alt=\"M3 competencia de AMD\" class=\"wp-image-62532\" width=\"577\" height=\"346\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Sin lugar a dudas, los consumidores finales ser\u00e1n los principales beneficiados de la presencia de m\u00e1s competidores en el mercado.
