{"id":68322,"date":"2024-08-15T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-15T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/?p=68322"},"modified":"2024-07-09T12:36:59","modified_gmt":"2024-07-09T17:36:59","slug":"armadillo-project-inspiration-escat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/index.php\/armadillo-project-inspiration-escat\/","title":{"rendered":"ARMADILLO: PROJECT INSPIRATION #ESCAT #Uninter #Animation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EscatUninter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-98.png\" alt=\"ESCAT\" class=\"wp-image-57729\" width=\"187\" height=\"213\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>When tasked with designing products based on the function, form, or features of an animal or insect, there are many options to consider, but none quite like the armadillo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ORDINARY PROJECT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Bionics and Design course, as an ordinary project, students were assigned to develop a line of 5 products, each had to meet specific criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Draw inspiration from an animal or insect; it could be the same for all 5 objects or different for each.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Justify and explain which characteristics or abilities of the selected animal\/insect will be applied in the design of each object.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate industrial-style sketches of each product.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Model the products in 3D, applying textures, lights, and rendering each product individually and together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a logo representing the brand of the product and place it on the 3D objects, in addition to presenting it individually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce applicable mockups of the products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conclude with a comprehensive project presentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARMADILLO PROJECT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Michelle Velasco Ram\u00edrez, a 6th-semester LADD student, presented one of the most comprehensive projects, effectively applying the required concept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INDUSTRIAL-STYLE SKETCHES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Creating industrial-style sketches helps us visualize a solid structure, dimensions, and proportions of our object, and allows for detailed refinement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is followed by explanatory notes on the design&#8217;s purpose or function. In the Armadillo project, the following objects were designed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Handbag.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Baby stroller.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food container.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Motorcycle helmet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knee protector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 modeling software for enhanced visualization and realism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Armadillo project, 3D modeling enabled the student to explore shapes, colors, and textures while maintaining the class=\"wp-block-heading\">CREATION OF THE LOGO<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the project, students also designed a logo based on the selected animal or insect, aiming to establish a recognizable brand identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;With the armadillo, the student created a logo that elegantly symbolized the animal&#8217;s structure in a clean and simple manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This logo was in real-life scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Armadillo project, digital image retouching was employed to illustrate how the objects would be used in everyday settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
