UU. de la Universidad de Buffalo, ha desarrollado el cable superconductor de alta temperatura (HTS) de mayor rendimiento del mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tw-target-text\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo funciona?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">El cable funciona a temperaturas de -451 a -321 grados <em>Fahrenheit<\/em> (-268 a -196 grados <em>Celsius<\/em>), que sigue siendo extremadamente fr\u00eda pero m\u00e1s alta que las temperaturas del cero absoluto a las que trabajan otros materiales superconductores.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image-42.png\" alt=\"EUA Rompe R\u00e9cord con un Cable Superconductor\" class=\"wp-image-69668\" width=\"740\" height=\"416\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Los cables HTS podr\u00edan ser un componente cr\u00edtico de nuestro futuro energ\u00e9tico, ya que la tecnolog\u00eda puede facilitar la transmisi\u00f3n de electricidad con resistencia cero. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Sin embargo, sus aplicaciones van m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la transmisi\u00f3n de energ\u00eda sin p\u00e9rdidas hasta duplicar la producci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda de los parques e\u00f3licos marinos, construir sistemas de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda magn\u00e9ticos superconductores y otras infraestructuras energ\u00e9ticas. <br><br>En los \u00faltimos tiempos, los cables HTS tambi\u00e9n han encontrado aplicaciones en reactores de fusi\u00f3n nuclear y t\u00e9cnicas de espectroscop\u00eda e im\u00e1genes de pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-69672\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Si bien los cables HTS ofrecen la ventaja de temperaturas de funcionamiento relativamente m\u00e1s c\u00e1lidas, su fabricaci\u00f3n sigue siendo costosa. <br><br>Aqu\u00ed es donde los investigadores de la Universidad de Buffalo (UB) han logrado un avance importante<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo se hizo el cable HTS? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">En todo el mundo, las empresas dedicadas a la fabricaci\u00f3n de cables HTS utilizan tecnolog\u00eda de sustratos texturizados biaxialmente (RABiTS), tecnolog\u00eda de MgO de deposici\u00f3n asistida por haz de iones (IBAD) habilitada por LMOe o tecnolog\u00eda de defectos nanocolumnares en espacios a nanoescala. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Curiosamente, todas estas tecnolog\u00edas han sido desarrolladas por investigadores de la UB bajo el liderazgo de Goyal.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"4256\" height=\"2832\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image-44.png\" alt=\"EUA Rompe R\u00e9cord con un Cable Superconductor\" class=\"wp-image-69670\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">En su enfoque reciente, los investigadores combinaron la tecnolog\u00eda IBAD con la tecnolog\u00eda de defectos nanocolumnares. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">El \u00faltimo m\u00e9todo utiliza separaci\u00f3n de fases simult\u00e1nea y autoensamblaje impulsado por tensi\u00f3n, lo que permite incorporar materiales aislantes o superconductores al superconductor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Los defectos a nanoescala introducidos de esta manera crean v\u00f3rtices superconductores que permiten que fluyan supercorrientes m\u00e1s altas. <br><br>Los investigadores utilizaron un sistema avanzado de deposici\u00f3n por l\u00e1ser pulsado para hacer una pel\u00edcula HTS en un alambre de \u00f3xido de cobre y bario de tierras raras (REBCO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tw-target-text\">Rendimiento del cable HTS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Con su reciente innovaci\u00f3n, los investigadores alcanzaron la densidad de corriente cr\u00edtica y la fuerza de fijaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s altas para todos los campos magn\u00e9ticos y temperaturas de 5 kelvin a 77 kelvin (-451 a -321 grados <em>Fahrenheit<\/em>). <br><br>A 4,2 Kelvin, el cable demostr\u00f3 un transporte de 190 millones de amperios por cent\u00edmetro cuadrado sin ning\u00fan campo magn\u00e9tico externo, tambi\u00e9n conocido como campo propio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"864\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/ESCAT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image-43.png\" alt=\"EUA Rompe R\u00e9cord con un Cable Superconductor\" class=\"wp-image-69669\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">A medida que la temperatura aument\u00f3 a 20 kelvin, la temperatura en las reacciones de fusi\u00f3n comerciales, los cables transportaron 150 millones de amperios por cent\u00edmetro cuadrado de campo propio y m\u00e1s de 60 millones de amperios por cent\u00edmetro cuadrado a 7 tesla. <br><br>La
