In 1993, he published El Príncipe de la Niebla (The Prince of Mist), for which he received the Edebé Prize of Literature. The fo- llowing year he published El Palacio de la Mediano- che (The Midnight Palace), two years later Las luces de septiembre (The Watcher in the Shadows), and finally, in 1999, Marina. These four novels are es- sentially considered his works for young audiences.
