Pero una nueva investigaci\u00f3n sugiere que la manera en como lidias con eventos estresantes tiene un mayor impacto en tu salud que el n\u00famero de cosas estresantes que te suceden.<\/p>\n<p>Investigadores de la Universidad Estatal de Pennsylvania entrevistaron a 900 personas diariamente durante una semana sobre cu\u00e1ntos factores de\u00a0<b>estr\u00e9s<\/b>\u00a0rutinarios, como peleas o carga de trabajo excesiva, les ocurr\u00edan en el d\u00eda y c\u00f3mo se sent\u00edan en respuesta a estos eventos. Los cient\u00edficos tambi\u00e9n tomaron en cuenta la variabilidad del ritmo cardiaco en reposo de los sujetos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4695\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/legionarios\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/cq5dam-web-1280-12801.jpeg\" alt=\"cq5dam.web.1280.1280\" width=\"980\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>La variabilidad del ritmo cardiaco (HRV, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) mide la fluctuaci\u00f3n de tu ritmo cardiaco latido por latido. (Tu\u00a0<b>coraz\u00f3n<\/b>\u00a0no late consistentemente como un metr\u00f3nomo. El tiempo entre latidos var\u00eda mucho, incluso cuando est\u00e1s sentado tranquilamente.) Mayor HRV ha sido ligada a menores riesgos de\u00a0<b>enfermedades cardiacas<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores descubrieron que la cantidad de\u00a0<b>estr\u00e9s<\/b>\u00a0que cada persona experimente no tiene ning\u00fan efecto en su variabilidad del\u00a0<b>ritmo cardiaco<\/b>\u00a0en reposo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, la gente que tuvo reacciones m\u00e1s dram\u00e1ticas y emocionales al\u00a0<b>estr\u00e9s<\/b>, como enojo, nerviosismo, irritabilidad, miedo o tristeza, fue m\u00e1s propensa a tener menor variabilidad del ritmo cardiaco.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4697\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/legionarios\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/estres.jpg\" alt=\"estres\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Puede ser que tu respuesta emocional prolonga e intensifica tu respuesta f\u00edsica al\u00a0<b>estr\u00e9s<\/b>, comenta la doctora Nancy Sin, autora del estudio.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Los eventos\u00a0<b>estresantes<\/b>\u00a0reprimen tu sistema nervioso parasimp\u00e1tico, el encargado de regular tu cuerpo en reposo, y activa tu sistema nervioso simp\u00e1tico, el cu\u00e1l te pone en un estado de alerta total.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4696\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uninter.edu.mx\/legionarios\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/estres-2.jpg\" alt=\"estres-2\" width=\"550\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tus niveles de cortisol aumentan, respiras m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido y tu ritmo cardiaco, as\u00ed como tu presi\u00f3n sangu\u00ednea est\u00e1n por los cielos. Esto disminuye tu variabilidad del ritmo cardiaco.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Si ignoras un factor de\u00a0<b>estr\u00e9s<\/b>, por ejemplo, tu jefe criticando tu m\u00e1s reciente proyecto frente a tus compa\u00f1eros, tu sistema nervioso parasimp\u00e1tico actuar\u00e1 y regresar\u00e1 a tu cuerpo a un estado de reposo. Tu ritmo cardiaco y presi\u00f3n sangu\u00ednea bajar\u00e1n y tu variabilidad del ritmo cardiaco se incrementar\u00e1.
