TWELFTH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
LATIN AMERICA IN THE FACE OF NEW CHALLENGES AND TRANSITIONS
April 16-17 2026 Cuernavaca, México
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Americas are currently on edge due to tariffs, migration flows and, lately, the proliferation of AI. It is obvious that we are facing challenges and transitions never seen before that will affect our institutions in their different spheres, from education, economy, arts, politics to the Nation-State; therefore, the following questions arise: How should Latin America respond to the challenges and changes that are looming on the horizon? How do we safeguard our original peoples’ cultures, our literature, art, and cinema while facing the transition to a new post-human world that seems inevitable? Come and share your area of interest in politics, history, Indigenous languages, linguistics, literature, economics, ethnic studies, immigration, art, music, communications, and other current issues and related topics. Areas of interest include the impact of Hispanic cultures in the United States. We will have some panels online, and welcome papers and panel proposals on any subject relating to Latin America and the Spanish-speaking world. Graduate student presentations are welcome. A selection of the conference proceedings will be published online in Imágenes de poslatinoamérica ISSN 2577-770X.
