This is one of the most common tips given to us when we are learning a new language, but does it really work?
There’s a small reason why it’s probably not working, and that’s that it’s not enough to just sit and eat popcorn without understanding anything.
That’s why I recommend that you always keep a notebook handy and divide it into three:
1. Vocabulary
2. Verbs
3. Expressions
Give yourself enough time to do this activity, stopping to translate, understand and write.
It doesn’t matter if in one hour you have only watched 20 minutes of the movie or the series, because it will be 20 minutes well understood and that will also leave you with a lot of knowledge.
With time you will improve and pause less often.
