Studying abroad is an experience that goes beyond the classroom, offering a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in a new culture, make lifelong friends, and explore incredible destinations. For many exchange students, like Jens, from The Netherlands, attending Universidad Internacional (Uninter) in Cuernavaca, Mexico, has been a life-changing adventure. From forming connections with local students to discovering nearby towns, Jens shares his unforgettable moments as a student abroad.

Being an exchange student in Uninter means that you get the chance to meet a lot of different people from different cultures. Of Course, you have the possibility to make friends with other foreign students, however it is amazing how open the local students are. A good example is Diego, he gave Timo and me t-shirts of the popular football team Club America.

Secondly you have the possibility to travel to nearby cities. One of the best trips I have done so far is the trip to Taxco. Just a 90 minute drive from Cuernavaca it is an amazing place surrounded by mountains, here we could explore and buy some nice silver jewelry. This is a must see if you ask me.
