Meet Bente, an adventurous exchange student from the Netherlands currently studying at Uninter in Cuernavaca. Her journey through Mexico has been nothing short of transformative, but it was her recent visit to Tepoztlán that truly left her in awe. Nestled in the heart of the mountains, this mystical town captivated Bente with its stunning landscapes, rich culture, and spiritual energy. From hiking the iconic Tepozteco pyramid to immersing herself in the vibrant local markets, Bente’s trip to Tepoztlán was a memorable blend of nature, history, and wonder. Join us as we explore her experiences and reflections on this enchanting corner of Mexico.

We asked students and teachers for recommendations on places to visit, and now we have a fantastic list of destinations. Our first stop was the magical town of Tepoztlán. Coming from Holland, where the landscape is mostly flat (our highest mountain is just 300 meters high) seeing Tepoztlán nestled in the mountains was truly impressive. It felt like stepping into a Disney movie!

Additionally, it was my first time hiking to see a waterfall. The climb was quite challenging, but reaching the waterfall made it all worthwhile. The sight was absolutely breathtaking!

We vroegen studenten en docenten om aanbevelingen voor plekken om te bezoeken, en nu hebben we een fantastische lijst met bestemmingen. Onze eerste stop was het magische stadje Tepoztlán. Komend uit Nederland, waar het landschap grotendeels vlak is (onze hoogste berg is slechts 300 meter hoog), was het werkelijk indrukwekkend om Tepoztlán tussen de bergen te zien liggen. Het voelde als een stap in een Disney-film!

Bovendien was het mijn eerste keer dat ik ging hiken om een waterval te zien. De klim was behoorlijk uitdagend, maar het bereiken van de waterval maakte alles de moeite waard. Het uitzicht was absoluut adembenemend!
